On 21 September, we commemorate the Korean Martyrs, including St. Laurent Imbert and St. Jacques Chastan, who once served as formators at College General.

The Mass presider was H.E. Cardinal Sebastian Francis, Bishop of Penang and President of College General. Among those present at the celebration were the external lecturers and Spiritual Directors whose commitment enriches the seminary community.

May the faith, courage, and sacrifice of Saints Chastan and Imbert continue to inspire us to remain faithful to Christ and devoted to the Gospel.

College General Regional Major Seminary had the opportunity to host a seminar on The Corporal Works of Mercy, presented by Fr. Fabian Dicom.

It was a meaningful time of reflection and learning on how we are called to show mercy, compassion, and love through our pastoral assignments.

May we continue to put the Corporal Works of Mercy into practice in our daily lives.

We thank God for the gift of our beloved Malaysia. May our nation continue to grow in peace, unity, and harmony. May we, as Malaysians, continue to respect and care for one another and build a better Malaysia together.

We also give thanks to God for Fr. Cyril Mannayagam, who celebrates his 17th anniversary of priestly ordination on this day.

We are thankful for the meaningful Seminar on Laudato Si’, Waste Management and Urban Farming held on 22 August 2026.

A big thank you to our speakers, Dr. Mary Bharathi and Magdalene Chiang, from the Penang State Creation Justice Commission, for sharing their knowledge and experiences with us.

We hope this seminar will inspire us to care more for our environment and our common home.
